I am a staudent and my dealer has told me that I qualify for an academic license for the Adobe CS design bundle. I have not used the Adobe suite before. Can someone experience tell me how the license and registration works?
I was told by my dealer that I pay for a license, and will get some CDs. I think I was told that the CDs will allow me to install online. And no printed manual is provided. I was also told that there is no difference if I purchase an academic license or a full commercial license, I will still be getting this installation CDs and no manual. Is this correct? I can’t seem to get into Adobe’s website and their sales phone line is constantly jammed up these days. I have been trying to call for about a week now.
My question is that I have a laptop which I take to classs and a desktop, and I will need the Adobe software to be installed in both for me to work on them. Is that possible if I purchase an academic license? And is this possible if I purchase the full commercial license?
I am also asking because software I purchased before always provide CDs with the full software on them. I have had my computer crashed and have to reinstall everything. How is this done if installation is online? I just want to make sure that I am making the correct decision. I am always worried about having to reinstalled as I have to do this twice before.
Thanks for any help provided.
