Jane,

Found this list on Adobe’s site and it also has a link to 3rd party compatible plug-in support.

Jane, will these plugins work in PSE2? Also, do you have any favorites on this list?

Pat, i just downloaded and tried ‘Luce’ from the list ( PC only )

< http://www.pluginsworld.com/Photoshop/plugins.php3?action=Al lFreeware&idx=16&soft=Photoshop>

and it’s pretty cool has some nice features ;

<http://www.mybizz.net/l/w/lwsfrye/lucetest.jpg>

that’s white text using style#6 from my ‘bevels 005’, Aurora text…stretched. duplicated the text layer a few times to get the effect from the filter. the top text layer does not have the effect applied to it….added a gradient color adjustment layer afterwards. quite quick but quite fun.

Hi Pat, I am not sure of this list, as I only saw it this afternoon. Lots of goodies there which I have never heard of. Being a beginner of sorts, I will need time to look at this huge list.
I use the standard ones like EyeCandy, Xenofex 1+2, KPT and so forth. I do have more that I have downloaded, but have not used or even opened them yet.
Where will I ever get the time to have all the fun that is here to be had with these great goodies! Jane

Hmmmm…is there any way to get that list to sort by platform – I get all excited by references to a filter and then find it doesn’t work in OSX!

Hi Susan, Me too, I just won a filter by Harry Heim, and its only PC. So they will substitute something of equal value for Mac.

Jodi, thanks for posting your Luce results. I downloaded as you suggested and can’t find the download in PSE2…tried to duplicate your results but alas, not to that level yet. I think when I downloaded it, I put it in the plugin folder….Also restarted the program…Anyway, I love Luce test..Nice effect

Jodi, once again. I have managed to install Luce. This is great..Now I have to learn to develop the text and shadow effect as you did.

Pat, the plug in does all the flare work and the text is simple….do you have my bevels ? #6 of bevels 005 and i raised the contrast a bit with a ‘brightness/contrast’ adjustment layer ( this makes the text pop a little more ). Then duplicate the text layer and flip it over and place it just below the original text….lower the opacity…voila. It all took about 6 minutes 😉

Thanks Jodi. Tried to e-mail you back and say how great the bevels and frames are. You are so creative. Should write a book on PSE
