CMYK Aim Point for Packaging

I am preparing files for dog treat product packaging.

The substrate is clear plastic, printed 4-color process and being printed by a printer in Korea. That’s all I have. When asking the U.S. office for information they provide FTP information for uploading files. : )

Is there a profile out there that can get me in the ballpark?

You might try the colortheory group at yahoogroups.com. There are a number of people there who have experience preparing CMYK files for unusual conditions, both in the US and abroad.

Ask the US office for the Korean contacts, or send a match proof + cross fingers.

That’s what I had to do recently for packaging being done in China. No idea how it turned out, but I haven’t heard any screaming about it, so I’m happy
