Changing background CMYK

I have this background (grunge type image) that is a black color. It needs to have lower percentages of CMYK. how do I do this?

CMY needs to go down 20-3- and black needs to go up bout 30

Adjustment layer >Curve is what I would use. Place a couple of sample points to adjust to.

Another method is to re-separate the image. Convert to RGB and then convert back to 4c after adjustment your d-max, gcr until you get values you like.
