I have an issue opening raw photos saved in iPhoto…
I have upgraded to Photoshop CS4 and now I can not drag my RAW photos (taken with a Canon Rebel XTi) to PS CS4 and have them open in camera raw. This worked perfect with PS CS3. If I use the OPEN IN RAW dialog in Photoshop to open as Camera Raw, it opens it up as a low res jpg.
My current work around is to export the file from iPhoto to another folder (this keeps the .CR2 extension) and then I can drag that file to PS and it will open up in camera raw and recognize all the settings.
Also, I replaced the Camera Raw plugin from CS4 with the one from CS3 and all is well. Photos open in camera raw in CS4 as always, but then I loose the new features of 5.0.
Has anyone else heard of this? I am an amateur photographer and iPhoto is where I keep all my photos. I thank you for any help I can get.
