CS4, Mac Pro 2.6 quad, 10.4.11, 5gb RAM, 7300GT video card.
Working with smart sharpen filter, the preview does not update but the file window does. However, achieving the desired results using the file window does not translate to the image after the filter finishes. In fact, it looks as if only a small portion of the filtration has taken effect. Could this be another GPU Open GL problem? Try different settings in smart sharpen, even some very drastic ones, each time the results were much less.
