Photoshop CS2 and Elements 5 conversion

Hi,

I am decideing whether I should purchase Photoshop Elements 5 or Photoshop CS2.

Someone told me that there is a difference in the colour structures between the two programs, as CS2 works with CYMK printers, whereas Elements 5 only works with RGB Printers.

Does anybody know if this is correct?

Also if it is correct, is there any functionality in photoshop CS2 to convert files which have been created in Elements 5 to enable them to be printed on a CYMK printer without losing any colours which have been set.

CMYK is one of the supported colour modes, yes. Can’t speak for Elements

Files created in Elements, psd, jpeg, tiff, et al, can all be opened in Photoshop.
You will then change the image mode to whatever you want.
