Can a layered Tiff be saved without the layers flattening? If so .. how (I can’t seem to).

And if you go to the trouble to layer a tiff.. I know it can be printed unflattened.. but if it can’t be saved without flattening the layers.. why would you? Why wouldn’t you just save the file as a PSD of PDF.. unflattened ??

Yes for versions of Photoshop after 6. In 6 I believe you had to turn it on in Preferences.

If you have an earlier version, no dice.

Thank you very much.. and that explains the heart of the argument I was having.. I was still using PS 6 until very recently; and I was never aware of that option.. 🙂
