I need to make a batch using an action to first reduce file size to , convert to RGB but then I am not sure how to make it save correctly to keep the same file name that it orginally had but in a different folder. Can anyone help me. I am using Photoshop6, MAC version 9 operating system.

you are in the wrong forum, this is Elements.

However, the basic drill is to record an action on one file, then play it back on entire folder of files.
Study up on actions in manual.

If you need precise help, go to Photoshop forum for Macintosh.
