Brush tool has disappeared, NEED HELP

Hello, recently using photoshop CS2, I noticed that my brush tool had disappeared completely. The history brush, and art history brush tools still work. Please help, what could’ve happened?

Hi Bert,
Most probably your Brush is hidden under the Pencil Tool. Just press the tiny arrow on the Pencil button to show it.

You’d be amazed what you would find on a quick cruise through the manual and the Help files. Give it an hour or so.
