Can’t upgrade from CS2 Studio 8 to CS3

I have tried twice to install Adobe Creative Suite 3 Web Premium. The first attempt caused the computer to reboot without notice. During the second installation attempt Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional and shared components were installed. Then:

Errors 10 Components:
Adobe create Suite 3 Web Premium
Adobe Contribute CS3
Adobe Dreamweaver CS3
Adobe Fireworks CS3
Adobe Flash CS3
Adobe Flash Video Encoder
Adobe Illustrator CS3
Adobe Photoshop CS3
Adobe Version Cue CS3 Server
All components above failed to install and their shared components

By the way I am attempting to upgrade from Studio 8 to CS3. Installed on the machine is Photoshop CS2
According to Adobe this is the correct path to take..
Suggestions?
