There has been a conflict with FileBox eXtender and PS Elements versions 4 & 5 where PSE is not able to edit photos if FBX is running when PSE starts.
Version 1.91.05 of FBX eliminates the problem.
The problem also exists with PS CS versions which I am unable to test. —
