I have Photoshop Elements 7
It is ok. – but – comes with the same Gray screen.
Anyway it can be changed?

The gray is tetting to me. <smile>

Why would you want to change it ?

Do you think that it is an accident that Ps Elements and Ps both use a neutral gray as the background to the workspaces ?

Would a nice bright strongly coloured background enhance your perceptions of the colours and tones in your image ?

The colour is too dark.

A light grey is better – but they did not listened to our comments for PS6.

Under Preferences>General just move the slider over to lighten as much as you wish.
