CS4 Keyboard Shortcut Bug?

The new channel selections shortcuts (Crtl 3,4,5) work fine on layers with pixel content but do not work on Adjustment layers UNLESS you hit Ctrl 2 to select the composite layer first OR open the Channels Pannel and activate the composite channel.
Does anyone else have the same problem?
