I have found a strange problem with CS4, if I load a file, create a background of a solid colour, and then paste in a masked image, the new image appears OK, and sure enough I can see that it is in the center of the background. if I then try to add a shadow to this top layer, nothing appears?? If I try the same thing in CS3 it works! does anyone know if there is a reason for this, or if I am doing anything wrong? I was wondering if there is a memory issue or if there is a setting somewhere that I need to check out. It does seem to happen only when I am working with some large images, I have though tried loading one of these images and then reduced it to 800 x 800 pixels, but still nothing happens. I really would love to find a working solution if anyone out there can point me in the right direction I would appreciate it…
