I have saved pictures to a cd as jpgs couple years ago. Now when I try to view them in any of the programs I have, they won’t open . I have tried changing the ext, but that don’t work either.

Does anyone know why this is happening? Don’t understand how they could change on the cd but, this has happened couple different times.

Anyone any ideas how to get them back ?
or where I can ask?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

When you tried to "change the extension" were you trying to do so ‘on’ the CD?

IF so, you should copy them as they are to your HD, then try to change the extension back to .jpg.

If that works, then I’d look to some ‘automatic service seting’ of your burner or whatever program you used to prepare the files for burning.

First copy them to your local drive. Then in PS, try ‘open as’ (choose JPEG, or other formats.)
