I have PS CS installed and need to re-calibrate my monitor with Adobe Gamma, but it’s not in the control pannels? I ran "msconfig" and it is listed in the startup listing, but there is no access to it under the "control panels". Any help? Thanks!

If you are running XP it should be others section accessed by a link left hand side panel, but it maybe easier to find it by switching the control panel view to classic.

Steve,

I’ve seen occasions where the Adobe Gamma control panel wasn’t installed at all…at least not in the Control Panel where it normally is. I think that was uniquely on Windows 2000 systems, if memory serves. I never knew why that happened, but the solution is to go to the C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Calibration folder and look for ADOBE GAMMA.CPL. Double-click it and that should open it. I don’t recall if that also creates an entry for it in the Control Panel but, if not, you could easily just create a shortcut to the file and put it somewhere convenient.

Regards,

Daryl
