I did a quick check to see if I could load a file created in CS into PS6.0. WinXP says that I don’t have enough memory. This is on a machine with both CS and 6.0 installed.

I will have to exchange files with 6.0 users. Is there any way to do this?

The "not enough memory" message is spurious. I’m pretty sure that’s not the real problem.

Maybe there’s an intermediary format I can use that will preserve layers?

Happily, Photoshop files are still openable in Sony Vegas. And, seemingly, in AEFX5.0. That’s good, at least.
