I have an 8 bit greyscale image that I can start a Free or regular transform. The box shows up. I pull upper left corner to left and the box follows. It is now trapezoidal. But when I commit, the image does not change a bit, and the left box border has moved to where I stopped the earlier drag and is now vertical (the box is a rectangle with white space to the left of the image).

What’s wrong?

I don’t understand that part. That said, the only thing I can think of is that perhaps you are on a layer that is covered by another layer, so you’re not seeing the change?

If you take some sequential screenshots (print scrn key) of what you’re seeing and post them to a website, then tell us the links, we may be able to help better.

Peace,
Tony
