Not clear what you are asking. What do you mean "cut an eps figure"? Can you provide more details?

I have some bad generated eps figures. They have unnecessary empty areas.
I would like to cut out such areas. In other words I would like to frame my figures.

A text editor may suffice:

You can open EPS in Photoshop and use the CROP feature.

Or if you are real good, you can edit the EPS directly with a text editor. 🙂

I think the OP was implying he doesn’t have Photoshop, but had succeeded in finding a newsgroup where people seem to know about such things.

Hey! That’s what I said! 🙂
