Hi all,

I want to render a selection of an image transparent in photoshop 7.0. Anyone can help me with this?

The image you want to see through the transparency has to be on the background layer. Then, put the foreground on a new layer, add a layers mask. Simply, paint away the part you wish to be transparent. You can outline the area with a feathered marquee tool so that you have no hard lines, do this before you begin painting. Look for a tutorial on using layer masks if you are unfamiliarly with them. they are all over the web.

What kind of image?

Do you want it to be transparent in Photoshop, transparent on the Web, or transparent in some other program?
