Okay…I need advice here…

I’m currently looking for a book on Photoshop CS2 that teaches you how to make and assemble images/graphics to help you understand how to use the tools and manipulate them to acheive a desired effect of something…techniques that you might like to use and apply in your own projects. I realize there are a number of books on Photoshop CS2, but a lot of them contain tutorials of what a pallette is, what layers are, what tools do what, etc. I already am familiar with the basics of Photoshop CS2 and don’t want to waste money on a book that covers mostly that. I did some browsing in the bookstore today, but I thought it best to ask some advice before I spend any money.

Any recommendations?

I would recommend Katrin Eismann’s Photoshop Masking & Compositing. It is the best and most comprehensive book of its kind. Photoshop Unmasked is also good but not as comprehensive as Katrin’s book.
