Spell checker was fine during 2000 but when I upgraded it to XP

I have having an issue using Photoshop CS2 on a XP machine. Spell checker was fine during 2000 but when I upgraded it to XP I and when I went to spell check it gave me this error

"Could not complete your request because the spelle checker had a problem"

I tried searching the internet but nothing on this. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks!

I’m sorry for not being clear.

I deactivated the application, uninstalled it put in a brand new machine for the user (scrapped the old one) and installed a clean version of XP on the new machine and installed/activated Photoshop. Then this error came up.

In that case, try trashing your preferences. Details in the FAQs.

Didn’t work…but I did try something else and it worked. I had to give the user full rights to the Adobe folder in the Program Files folder and that did the trick. Thanks anyway!
