Recently, Photoshop has started hanging when I try to open a new file or resize an existing one, so is currently about as useful as a box of chocolate spanners. All menu items, except certain items on the View menu are greyed out, I cannot even close the prog using the X in the top right corner. Task manager says Photoshop is running as opposed to not responding.
I have not changed the hardware and the only new software to be installed are virus checkers (these give conflicting reports, e.g. Norton detected Bugbear. Stop-Sign said it had Iframe.exe and Swire.11384 Trojans but Norton did not detect these) and Windows updates. I have also had blue screens (not in Photoshop specifically) with Unexpected Kernel Mode Trap errors. Anyone had this in Photoshop? Any idea what’s causing it? Is it virus related? Also Adobe Premier shuts down for no apparent reason.
