I’m fairly new with PS, and I’m trying to figure out how to change the color of the stroke around some text. I’m using white text, and when I apply the stroke, it always comes out red. I can not figure out how to change it to the color I want to use, which is a color within the photo. How can I change the stroke color under blending options?

the stroke depends on what your current foreground color is. change that and the stroke color will change.

I’ve already tried that. The stroke color still stays red.

In the Stroke options window, there should be a box in the lower half of the window that has the colour in it which will be used for the stroke.

If you click on that box it should open a colour picker. You can now manually select the colour you want to use or, if you click on the colour in the image you want to use, that colour will become the stroke colour.

You can also stroke a selection or a path.

Hope this helps.

Thanks John. Took a while to figure that out, as I just didn’t see what your screen shot showed, but then I accidentally discovered that to get that option, I had to highlight Stroke, not just put a check mark there. Thanks.

Yes, that applies to all the styles if you want to adjust them in detail.
