I have downloaded the trial of CS3 and am TOTALLY lost! I use (or will use) it for doing digital scrapbook pages. I have about 30 gigabytes of scrapbook elements (papers, flowers, ribbons, brads, etc) on an external drive that is accessed and catagorized through ACDSee. In the program I use now to scrapbook I just open the program and ACDSee and drag and drop all the elements I want right into the stack on the scrapbooking program. Can I do this with CS3 too or do I have to get my elements and photos through the load file?

I am working on an Hp desktop computer with XP on it

Thanks for any help you can give me
Lynn

Lynn: You should download PhotoShop Elements instead. PS CS3 is totally overkill.

I had downloaded Elements once and thought it was much harder that PS to operate. I used to use PS 7 to edit photos with some years back so am more familar with its set-up than Elements. Many scrapbookers are using CS3 and love it. Why do you think its overkill?

Try File<Place. Scrapbookers might prefer Photoshop over Elements because of actions and batch processing.

It seems a bit pointless paying $600 for a program just to use 1% of it!

Actions and batch processing is available elsewhere.

(And BTW, Elements is a lot easier to learn than Photoshop)
