I’m hoping someone can help me understand a problem I’ve found working in Photoshop CS. 99% of the work I’ve tried works fine. BUT: when I work with Styles and Texture Layer Fills I get the message: Unable to Save because of Program Error (when I click Save). The trouble is it does save the document but when I close it I can’t reopen it because I again get the message referring to Program Errors. It’s especially "buggy" with the "New Fill Layer" feature when I try to save a pattern I select.

Thanks for any help and let me know if I can explain this better if it isn’t clear.

Check the image cache level in preferences – it should be set to 4.

Thank you!! All’s working fine. (I had it set to 6).

I’m wondering how I decide how much (percentage) of
RAM is best for Photoshop. I have 903MB of avaiable RAM and have set the preference to 80%. What are the factors I need to consider to make an intelligent percentage selection.
