what is the proper procedure for saving a photo for the web? whenever i get the photo to where i want it, then save for web, the preview is always less vibrant, flatter and lighter. i then go back to the image and add saturation and density to correct it. is there a better,"cleaner" way of getting the results i expect?

thanks all-

So why isn’t this topic in the FAQs, it sure shows up often enough to warrant it.

Because nobody reads the FAQ, and everyone finds a new way to describe it….

I found using Google’s Groups section very helpfull at finding things on Adobe’s forums than their own search feature.

I use both when ever I get 200 posts on a subject to cull through.
