photoshop fill question, how to?

I have seen fills on websites which have a horizontal stiped fill, very fine in detail and it looks very professional with a shadow grad over it. Can someone please tell me where to find the fill option to achieve this affect. I have looked everywhere for it!!

that’s kind of a broad description. can you post a link to a sample of the effect you’re looking for?

I generally create a pattern of horizontal lines and then apply it to another layer as a multiply or screen layer type.

I’m with Don but you can also use the halftone filter effect and select lines.
