Anybody here know anything about scanners. For some strange reason I cannot use mine any more? When I try to import a photo, I get a message telling me that the Twain source cannot be found. I have tried a couple of photo programs and it’s always the same which makes me think it has to be my scanner but it was working perfectly until I had to revert to my older PC after a problem with my more recent one. Any suggestions? I am using the CanoScan D2400U

I’d say software. Likely, the software you used was either not specifically designed for the device or the source software is not performing correctly. Twain is a component Windows uses to interpret the scanner’s information. It usually gets installed with the scanner software.

Assuming the software is ok, uninstall the application. Clear out any temporary files in the folder (/windows/temp), reboot and try the installation again.

Have you checked their site for support?
