When I type text there appears a path under the text. How can I select this path? I know you can make first a path and then put text on it but is it not possible to make first text and then edit the path?

Greetings

Highlight you text. Go to the bar at the top of the crees and click the "warp text" button. choose your warp style.

Avery,

I didn’t mean the warp tool. I don’t want to edit the text itself but the path where it is on. If I make a path with the pen tool I can make any shape of this path and then put text on it. Now I want to do the opposite: I have written some text first and want to manipulate the path where the text is on. Or isn’t that possible?

I don’t think that’s a path per se; more like a baseline.

Anyway I’m pretty sure there’s no way to edit it.

I tried and couldn’t do it
had to make a path first then copy/paste the text to it (or retype it)
