hi folks,

I have following photo-related software installed on my PC: MS-Paint
Imaing for Windows
MS Photo Editor

I wish to add "callout" like dialogs to a photo to show that two people are having a conversation. MS-Word has various types of callouts which are excellent for my purpose but I cannot use it to modify a photo. Could you please suggest a shareware/freeware that can be used to add conversational dialogs or "think" boxes (like a comic strip) to an image.

MS Word will do it. Just add text boxes in the right places and type away. —

Mike, thanks! My point was that I can not save the image with modification using MS-Word. The image will be embedded in a .doc file and that’s not whay I want. I want the image as is with just a dialog/callout on it.

Serif have a new site for all their Free give-away software http://freeserifsoftware.com/
I think you will find the Draw programme ideal for your needs (You can import pictures into that and then add whatever you wish) There are some other programmes you might like to try as well (Serif obviously hope that by giving this stuff away they will encourage people to pay for upgrades – just a point BTW once you register you can get discounts on the latest versions)
