Every once in awhile when I try to save a file whether a tiff or psd, I get the error message that it can not save because that file is open. Well duh. Even if I change the name it won’t let me save. Then from nowhere the file will save. This has happend several times in the past. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Dave, Don’t have Norton on either computer or any auto backup. One computer running ME and the other 98, has happened on both machines.

hmm… all I’ve got for you is this:

process explorer should let you free the handle of the file and allow you to save… and I checked, it says it runs under 98 and me.
